Job Overview
For a forthcoming short film that revolves around a community event, we are looking for a proactive and meticulous Production Associate to join our film production team. Supporting the administrative and logistical aspects of production, both on and off set, will be a major responsibility of a production associate.
By overseeing crew coordination, paperwork, equipment, call sheets, and other backstage duties necessary for a successful shoot, you will make sure that everything runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Help with daily production logistics and setup
- Assist in creating and distributing production documents, such as call sheets and schedules.
- Provide prompt coordination and communication to the crew and talent.
- Monitor inventory, rentals, and equipment use.
- Assist in overseeing the catering, supplies, and safety on-set.
- Make sure the production remains within scope and on schedule.
Requirements
- Previous production coordination experience (ideally from one or two projects or academic training)
- knowledge of production workflows and set etiquette
- Capacity to move and lift equipment and gear when necessary
- basic familiarity with production tools, such as Excel and Google Workspace
- Flexible scheduling that allows for weekends or overtime when necessary
- Possession of a current driver’s license and, ideally, transportation
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Safety instruction or first aid
- Experience producing events, independent films, or short films
- knowledge of production software such as Trello, StudioBinder, or Celtx
- Multilingual or bilingual
