The 2025 Hindi-language action thriller Raid 2, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, is the sequel to the successful 2018 film Raid. Ajay Devgn reprises his role as the virtuous IRS officer Amay Patnaik in the movie, with Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor playing crucial supporting parts.

The story, which is set seven years after the events of the first movie, centers on Amay Patnaik’s unwavering fight against well-known financial corruption. Now on his 74th transfer, Amay is assigned to Bhopal, where he takes on a new case involving Manohar Dhankar, a corrupt and influential politician also known as Dada Manohar Bhai. Amay conducts what turns out to be his 75th raid, determined to unearth a vast cache of illicit wealth.

As the investigation progresses, Amay is criticized and placed on temporary leave. With the support of his Income Tax team, he rejoins the mission now that his suspension has ended and he is determined to seek justice. In a startling turn of events, his mother, who has received education from Amay’s wife, Malini, intervenes and forces Dada Manohar Bhai to confront his actions. Eventually, Dada surrenders to the authorities.

Rameshwar Singh, also referred to as “Tauji,” is introduced as a new antagonist at the end of the film. He proposes a collaboration with Dada Manohar Bhai, setting the stage for a possible third Raid film.
